Jerry Carrier
Jerry Carrier retired from the Philadelphia Daily News in 2001 to start a second career as an actor. Most of his work has been in stage productions in and around Philadelphia, including Mr. Witherspoon in "Arsenic and Old Lace, " Captain Brackett in "South Pacific," Otto Frank in "The Diary of Anne Frank," Ebenezer Scrooge and Jacob Marley in different productions of "A Christmas Carol," and numerous other productions. He is a proud member of Actors Equity. He and his wife, Egdi, live in the Philadelphia suburbs and have seven children and a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren between them. When not performing, Jerry sings in the Collegiate Choir of Philadelphia and teaches Civil War history classes at Manor College in Jenkintown, PA.
