Michelle Krusiec is an award winning actress/writer/director who's starred in countless episodes of television and films. She played the iconic movie legend Anna May Wong in Ryan Murphy's Hollywood on Netflix. On stage, she starred in Wild Goose Dreams at the Public theatre, directed by Leigh Silverman. Krusiec is the only East Asian American actress to be nominated Best Actress for the Chinese Language Oscar, the Golden Horse, for Saving Face directed by Alice Wu. Krusiec's work as an actress and advocate for A.P.I. causes has been honored by The White House, State of California and Museum of Chinese America to name a few. Krusiec is one of eight directors in the 2021 A.F.I. Directing Workshop for Women. Krusiec launched her writing career with the critically acclaimed solo show Made in Taiwan. As a director, Krusiec is passionate about placing women, especially A.P.I. women, and marginalized groups at the center of their own narratives. Her original web series Scenes from a Real Marriage (Best Web Series New Digital Media Festival) paints a painfully honest but funny take on marriage. Krusiec recently wrote/directed Bite, about an immigrant mother experiencing social and cultural displacement in the America suburb. Krusiec was a Center of Asian American Media's Screenwriting Fellow. She holds a certificate in Screenwriting from U.C.L.A.'s Professional Program. She's served as a Sundance Co//ab Community Leader. She's a mother of two and performs advocacy work on behalf of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
