Camilo Vila
Camilo Vila was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to the United States as a young teenager. Raised thereafter in New York City, Puerto Rico and Miami, Camilo developed a love of people watching and storytelling. He pursued his passion at the School of Visual Arts NYC, studying film directing and photography. His first job was directing commercials for the agency J. Walter Thompson in Puerto Rico. He directed his first feature film "A Little Rain" at the age of 27. Since then, has directed 100's of commercials and numerous feature films and episodic TV, in both English and Spanish. He has worked with such talents as Hal Holbrook, Trevor Howard, Ben Cross, John Robinson, Alex Meraz, Grant Bowler, Deborah Unger, Joanna Pacula, and sports celebrities Alex Rodriguez and Troy Aikman. He has worked all over the world and recently completed the feature City of Gardens, filmed in Peru.
