Gabriel Brown
Gabriel Brown is an actor hailing from Durham, North Carolina. He attended the prestigious University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the tutelage of Gerald Freedman. Brown has worked several years on stage and screen. Appearing in productions at The Lincoln Center, The Signature Theatre, The Roundabout Theater Company, and the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem.
While studying at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Gabriel Brown traveled abroad to study Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as well as a summer studying with The Moscow Art Theater.
In 2013 Gabriel won the LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for his performance in Joe Turner's Come and Gone Directed by Phylicia Rashad at The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
In 2017 Gabriel starred in the Issa Rae produced series Minimum Wage on AMC Network's ALLBLK.
In 2021 Gabriel starred in the North American Premiere of Walden by Amy Berryman which received The New York Times Critic's Pick.
In 2022 Gabriel appeared in the acclaimed production of Today is My Birthday at the renowned Yale Repertory Theater written by Golden Globe Award winning writer/producer of HBO's Succession Susan Soon He Stanton
