Jakob Nagy
Jason Moehring aka Jakob Nagy recently performed on stage in international productions of The Exonerated as Gary Gauger, Starry Messenger as Galileo, and August Osage County as Charles. In 2017 he worked with Chow Yun-fat in a Felix Chong directed feature film, Project Gutenberg, which began its release in October 2018.
Off-Broadway Jason played Prince Hal in Henry IV, pt 1 and acted in Bertolt Brecht's Edward II as a member of The Riverside Shakespeare Company. In regional theater in the USA, Jason played multiple roles in Cyrano de Bergerac with F. Murray Abraham as Cyrano at Center Stage in Baltimore. At Theatre Express in Pittsburgh he was the White Knight in Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Smith in Ionesco's The Bald Soprano. At the Manhattan Playhouse in the San Francisco Bay area Jason portrayed Faust in Marlowe's The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus and was Konstantin in Chekhov's The Seagull. At the Oakland Ensemble Theatre, he was seen as Flash Gordon in the world premiere of Flash! and as Steve Smith in The Starting Five.
Mr. Moehring studied acting at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London from 1974 to 1976 and at the University of California, Berkeley. He currently resides in Thailand and grew up in Glen Farms, Maryland and San Francisco, California. He has a BA in Oral Communications from UC Berkeley and attended Northfield Mount Hermon School. Between his early acting career (1976-1985) and current acting work which he re-animated in 2017, Jason was a corporate learning and development, OD, and HR leader at companies in San Francisco, Napa, New York City, and Chiang Mai Thailand.
