Matt Rowles
Matt Rowles was born in the USA and has spent most of his life in New York and Japan. He first appeared on Japanese TV in the 1980s while attending Japanese high school. After appearing as a Japanese zombie in an independent film in the US, Matt began popping up on Japanese TV quite frequently. He has appeared on Mentai Wide, Mentai Plus, Doyobi Wa Dameyo, News Bridge, Document 72 Jikan, Matsuko & Ariyoshi No Ikari Shinto, and hosted segments on two episodes of V6's Amazipang TV show. Upcoming roles include NHK's made for TV mini-movie Go! Go! Town Kitakyushu (Oct. 2017) and popular director Eichiro Hasumi's big budget rally car racing film Over Drive (Aug. 2018). Prior movie appearances include Black Butler (Kuroshitusji), The Tenor - Lirico Spinto, Watshi No Jinsei (Waga Inochi No Tango). Matt is also the executive producer Kitakyushu Stories, writer and director MJ Di Rocco's series of nine short films set in Kitakyushu, and manager of the popular international band The Clock Tower. In his free time, he can be found hanging around the garden paradise of Kitakyushu, usually bothering the locals and expats.
