Carla Westlund
Carla Westlund was born September 6th, 1988 in Chicago, IL to parents Sandra and Dean Westlund. She has an older sister Janine Westlund who resides in Portand, OR as an architect.
Ever since Carla was a young girl, she's always had a knack for the performing arts. From singing school solos, to skipping grades in band and getting scholarships for the flute, to dancing professionally for the Chicago Honey Bears, and eventually getting a BFA in Acting at Illinois State University and getting roles in TV shows, commercials, and independent/feature films in Los Angeles; it was always clear performing was a gift.
Along with working in front of the camera, Carla also came to realize she had talents for behind the camera as well and picked up the knack of creative directing and producing. She co-directed her first music video for Chazzy's "Floating" in 2019 and just recently launched her production company Cake Studios in 2020 with Producer and Manager, Blake Reading, where they have several projects in development.
Aside from the film/production world, Carla is also a sexual assault advocate who works with the non profit organization P.A.V.E. (Promoting Awareness / Victim Empowerment) to educate schools on healthy relationships and has spoken out publicly on various news stations such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, FOX News, CNN, Crime Watch Daily, and more on the importance of ride share safety.
