Born in Alberta, Canada, Z began making movies in 2005. Zee G.Hunter received a BA from the University of Calgary in 2007 majoring in Religious Studies and minoring in Film Studies, and a BA majoring in Film Studies "with Distinction" with a minor in Visual Studies and Art History in 2020. His films have screened internationally at various festivals. He was invited to appear on TV shows Wynonna Earp and Tiny Plastic Men. As well was invited to appear (and even star) in other director's films, like Herschell Gordon Lewis' Bloodmania. Overcoming crippling health challenges that began in 2013, Z emerged healthier than ever - and over one hundred fifty pounds lighter - in 2017, returning to Film Studies and redefining himself as an artist.
