Manasi Rachh
Manasi Rachh started with a small role in Manav Kaul's musical called Aisa kehte hain, where she played a the character of a little sardar boy at a tea stall called 'Chai'. Then she went on to do another play with Manav Kauls company Aranya called 'Bali aur Shambhu where she played Sudhir Pandeys' beautiful daughter called 'Titli'. She then played a wicked mother in Kashin Shetty's Thespo play called 'Confessions, before moving on to theatre stalwart Sunil Shanbag's adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's 'Dakghar' called 'Walking to the Sun' where she played the protagonist Amal. Her performance for Walking to the Sun was truely appreciated by the audience and critics both. Verve magazine featured her in the November 2010 issue for the same.
She then moved on to films starting with Nupur Asthana's 'Mujhse Fraandship karoge' produced by Y films, where she played the fierce character of Neha in the film. Her second film is released on Oct 19th, 2012 called 'Student of the Year' directed by Karan Johar. In SOTY she playes the character of Shruti Pathak, a no nonsense ambitious girl. Her performance in the film was highly appreciated again by the critics and the audience both.
Her third film called Charlie ke Chakker mein is scheduled to release in 2014. She plays the character of Nina, a struggling actor from Bandra. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Amit Sial, Anand Tiwari.
Manasi has also featured in quite a few TV commercials.
She has also featured in channel promos for UTV Bindass, Nestea, King Khan festival for 'Set Max' directed by Nidhin Anthony and music video called Phoolon ki tarah by Jagjit Gulzar, directed by Anand Surapur.
