Jaz Martin
Jaz Martin was born in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England. His ancestry includes Irish, English and Italian. Martin credits a chance viewing of the Yorkshire play 'Bouncers', by John Godber, as the spark that lit his desire for pursuing a career in acting.
Martin obtained a BA (Hons) in Drama at the University of Sunderland. After acquiring an agent and a green card, 2011 marked Martin's first pilot season in the City of Angels. It was the stuff of dreams as he booked a guest Star role, in the CBS pilot 'Home Game'. Produced by Mark Wahlberg and starring Rob Riggle and Ken Marino.
Since this time Martin has flexed his acting muscles in many productions on and off our screens. Highlights of his career thus far include the role of 'Sam' in the horror movie 'I Will Follow You Into The Dark' starring Mischa Barton and Ryan Eggold. He has also had a recurring role in the English hit ITV show Emmerdale, as hit man 'Brad'.
Most recently Martin has worked on BAFTA award winning BBC series 'Last Tango In Halifax' as 'Ollie' and Sky One show 'After Hours' directed by the talented Craig Cash (The Royale Family) in which he plays 'Russell', band mate and love interest to Jamie Winstone (Kidulthood).
Jaz Martin resides in London, England. He is a Green Card holder and member of spotlight and Screen Actors Guild.
