Taani Fuahala
Taani Fuahala is an actor, writer, and director who was born in Inglewood, CA.
He attended Highland Elementary and Centinela Elementary in Inglewood, CA before transferring to Pacific Hills School in West Hollywood, CA for middle school. Taani Junior Fuahala then transferred to Loyola High School of Los Angeles where he lettered in Football and Track & Field (shot put and discus).
He was on Loyola High School's 2005 CIF Division 1 Championship Team as a Defensive Lineman.
Fuahala then went to college at Oregon State where he was on the football team as a walk-on. He really enjoyed being a part of Oregon State's football team but after one year, he transferred to El Camino College in Torrance, CA where he was on the football team for two seasons.
Taani Fuahala played both Defensive Line and Fullback at El Camino College but never received much play time. El Camino College was the best junior college football team in the nation at the time and according to Fuahala, "the team was stacked at every position". He was able to earn his Associates Degree in General Education from El Camino College however.
Fuahala then transferred to California State University of Sacramento where he was a member of both the football and rugby teams. During his senior year however, Fuahala decided to quit both sports to pursue acting instead. The day after quitting football Fuahala auditioned for the University Theater Company and was cast in an independent play produced by the Sons and Ancestor's Club.
Next, Fuahala was cast as Foote in Nina In The Morning during the University Theater's One Act Play productions. He was also a part of the ensemble for You Can't Take it With You along with many other plays at Sacramento State. Fuahala graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
Upon graduating from college, Fuahala moved to Los Angeles where he acted in several short, independent, and student films while attending law school part-time in Long Beach, CA. He also worked as a bouncer, bodyguard, driver, and bartender before finally passing the CA State Bar exam and becoming an attorney. Fuahala studies at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and has been in over 40+ low budget independent/student type films. He also has experience in writing, directing, and guerrilla film making.
