Greg Heffernan
Though he married Cheryl Gomes, a film producer from Mumbai at St. Clement's Church in Santa Monica, with three priests from Nigeria, England and India and a rabbi from Malibu, Greg Heffernan's original Irish ancestors immigrated to California during the Gold Rush of 1851 during the Great Famine. Raised in Central California and the Bay Area Greg graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Film and Cinema and paid for his tuition loans by working and writing at a very young age as a college student for episodic television at CBS. He sold the second screenplay he wrote and after writing for one of Hollywood's legendary directors he literally walked away from film to teach. Becoming a paid journalist along the way, Greg also traveled to India where he was a visiting professor of cinema and journalism at two universities along with working, writing and preforming in several top Bollywood films and television series. Lured back to the US Film and Television industry Greg is now active as an executive producer, writer and film finance consultant. He is writing a Roman Action Epic for Vintage World Productions and is in prep production to direct a Film Noir he has written that is set in Los Angeles. His company GCH Films, Inc., is now developing several classic titles including The Return of Thief of Baghdad, based on the Alexander Korda film, Combat, based on the ABC Series and a Bollywood Version of Bob Hope's classic My Favorite Brunette. His company GCH Films, is affiliated with Brookwell/McNamara Entertainment based at Manhattan Beach Studios where he is arranging financing for two international features for shooting in 2022. He has been a consulting producer on several films that had been set up at BME with Viacom Paramount Australia and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
