Devinder Dillon is a veteran actor, producer, and director with a rich and diverse career spanning decades. He is an accomplished professional and vibrant Broadcaster with over 24 years of experience to his credit. His journey from the serene landscapes of Punjab to the bustling entertainment industry of the West and beyond is a testament to his passion and dedication. Growing up as the eldest among four siblings, Devinder's early years were shaped by his father's disciplined upbringing and his mother's nurturing presence. Despite the strict household, Devinder found solace and inspiration in the golden era of Indian cinema, particularly admiring the legendary Dilip Kumar. Devinder's professional journey commenced in his father's soap factory in Moga, before embarking on a new chapter in Canada. His foray into the world of media began with radio and television, gradually paving the way for his entry into the film industry. He started working with radio stations in the late seventies. Starting with TV dramas and voice-over work, Devinder's talent soon caught the attention of Hollywood, leading to prominent roles in television serials and beyond. In the late 90s, he ventured into production and direction, establishing himself as a versatile creative force. Since 1995 he become involved with Television Media. Devinder worked as an actor on a couple of TV dramas, His TV dramas were seen on ATN TV channels. His first short film was "Another Indian Wedding" and since then he has worked in Bollywood feature films like Houle Houle ho Jayega Piyaar, Jatt and Juliet-1, and Jatt and Juliet-02. In 1990, Devinder founded Asian Arts Inc., a company dedicated to the promotion and distribution of Indian films. By 1992, a significant transformation occurred as the company transitioned to Whitehill, marking a new chapter in its evolution. Throughout their tenure, Devinder contributed to the growth and development of Whitehill, aligning with its vision and objectives. However, in 2009, nearing the end of the year, a pivotal decision was made to initiate production endeavors with a new partner. Regrettably, this strategic shift led to a geographical parting of ways, as the company relocated its operations to India, while Devinderl chose to remain rooted in Canada. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Devinder cherishes his role as a husband and father. He entered into an arranged marriage and is blessed with two children, a son, and a daughter, both of whom have grown into accomplished individuals. His family has expanded to include three grandsons, two of whom excel as basketball players, while the third, Arjan Dillon, pursued higher education at NYU alongside Suhana, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. Notable among his earlier achievements are the management of a prominent TV station and the creation of acclaimed shows such as "Screen Scene" and "Thanks for the Memories." Devinder's contributions to Punjabi media have earned him accolades, including the prestigious Best Programmer award for Radio Punjab 1550. His stellar performances have garnered recognition both locally and internationally, with notable honors such as being hailed as a senior actor for his roles in "Jatt and Juliet 1 & 2" and also receiving the Best Actor award in Amritsar. He also worked with Jimmy Shergill in the movie called "Hero Mera Naam Yaad Rakhin", and another hit feature film Sradar Ji, Solution, and Shame which were very well-known Hollywood shorts.
