Carlo Valenzona
Carlo Valenzona, formerly works as an online media publisher for news channel (now CNN Philippines) previously Solar News Channel
Studied Associate in Arts and Multimedia Studies in University of the Philippines Open University until 2003 and Busan Asian Film School with program for Asian Producers: International Film Business Academy. He started in the industry as an assistant line producer to the late Larry Castillo who was Brillante Mendoza's producer.
He also started on producing short films IMAGO (Cannes 2016) and JUDGEMENT (Cannes 2017) both directed by Mendoza's protege Raymund Ribay Gutierrez, both competed for Cannes shorts main competition.
Since then he steps up as a producer of the films; UNDERGROUND (San Sebastian 2017), ALPHA, THE RIGHT TO KILL (Grand Jury Prize in San Sebastian 2018) and the Netflix series AMO (2018).
His latest works as a producer includes the film VERDICT by Gutierrez in competition to Venice orrizonti and Toronto contemporary.
Took up the Found story filmmaking workshop under renowned screenwriter Armando 'Bing' Lao, who is also Mendoza and Gutierrez' mentor.
He is currently working on Brillante Mendoza's latest projects: MINDANAO, BANGSA RESBAK, all in the works.
He previously attended Cairo IFF, Busan AFM, TIFF Japan, HAF Forum and Cannes Producers' Network.
