Marcelo Di Marcio
"Marcelo Di Marcio is an actor, director, and writer. He is known for his roles in "DNA do Crime" (Criminal Code), "Urubus" (Vultures), and "Pico da Neblina" (Joint Venture). He also directed the shorts "Gauthier" (Dangerous Lapses), "Queda Cortês" (Lara & Paul), "O Castigo do Matador" (The Killer's Movie Audition), and the feature film "Cadê o presente de Natal?" (The Christmas Gift).
Born in São Paulo, SP / Brazil, Di Marcio grew up on the East Side, in a poor area of the city. He began his career as a radio announcer and police columnist in the 1990s. Later, he studied architecture but decided to pursue the art of writing scripts and producing films, a dream he had since childhood. As an independent filmmaker, he produced and acted in several short films. In 2017, he founded "The OfiCine," a free cinema workshop that teaches young people from marginalized areas how to make low-budget films with good quality."
