Carlotta Elektra Bosch

Carlotta Elektra Bosch

Carlotta Elektra Bosch was born in Barcelona to a Castilian mother and a Catalan father. One a Designer and the other an Architect and Professor of Art in the University of Girona. Carlotta is the youngest of two siblings, her brother is a Landscape-Architect and Entrepreneur. After her birth the Bosch family moved north where Carlotta grew up between the medieval city of Girona and the Empordà. Her father, a cinephile, shared with Carlotta all his knowledge of Classic Cinema and educated her to understand Art, Philosophy and Literature. It was from a very young age that Carlotta realized her passion for the Arts. When she was only 3 her love for Stanley Donen's "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" "Funny Face" and "Singin' in the rain", Vincent Minnelli's "An American in Paris" and "Gigi", Robert Wise's "West Side Story"... and all the American musicals awakened a strong desire in her to learn to dance. After convincing her mother, she started ballet lessons which she studied throughout her childhood. At 5 she initiated fine arts and immediately found a way to express and fulfill her imaginative personality. At 7 she began to read compulsively, for her it was a way to feed her fantasy world. From that, a passion for writing naturally grew which later on was developed within a poetry group in "el Raval" of Barcelona and, later on, Screenwriting studies in New York's University, The New School. Her love for the Performing Arts developed at the beginning of her life, spending her childhood wearing costumes and impersonating all the characters that she saw in films and plays and read about in books. She spent her adolescence acting in many of her school performances while creating all the sets and making movies with her brother and cousins with a 8mm and a HD tape camera from the tender age of six . Combining design and some modeling work with Spain's most prestigious Francina agency, Carlotta graduated in Interior Architecture (Furniture & Stage Design) in Barcelona. Then she obtained a MFA in Fine Arts in Stockholm, Sweden, where she lived for almost two years. Carlotta's love for humanity has taken her to do volunteer work since her school years helping organizations for the old and the physically and mentally disabled without resources like the Cottolengo. This and her enormous interest to experience other cultures and learn other languages, has taken her traveling through many countries, also living in Greece, Italy, Portugal, France and New Zealand. She has a degree in Art and multiple languages. She speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and Italian. With a strong will and the lack of English language, Carlotta fearlessly moved to New York to follow her undeniable dream: to pursue an education and a career in acting among the highest levels. Firstly, for some years, she studied the "Lee Strasberg method" in a Theatre Group with Gary Swanson. She also took an intensive Filmmaking course in NYU. Carlotta, soon after moving to NY, was scouted by a modeling agency that provided her with more print and commercial work to pay for her studies. Although Carlotta considered her work as a model merely as a resource to pay student loans, support herself and travel, she became very successful and after some years working incessantly in Europe, Australasia and USA, she had saved enough to study in one of New York's most imminent drama schools. Carlotta applied and auditioned for the best NY schools in drama, facing the difficulty of having to choose one as she was accepted to all of them. It was after reading William Esper's book "The Actor's Art & Craft" and having a personal interview with him, that Carlotta decided to attended William Esper Studio, graduating in June 2011. Among its alumni the school boasts great actors such as: Kathy Bates, Larry David, David Morse, Paul Sorvino, Kristin Davis, Sam Rockwell and Harold Perrineau. These are also some of the other great coaches Carlotta has worked with on her acting and voice: Per Brahe who trained Carlotta in both Mask and Chékov, Cynthia Ettinger who trained Carlotta in the style of the Comedia Dell'Arte, Bob McAndrew (Raul Julia, Richard Dreyfuss, Chris Cooper, Chistopher Walken, Tom Selleck...), Juan Carlos Corazza (Javier Bardem...), Patricia Fletcher (Harvey Keitel, Lynn Redgraves, Jean Reno, Elias Koteas, Gina Gershon...), Nancy Mayans (Alfred Molina, Tom Conti, Mike Colter...), Linda & David Laundra and Deb Jackel. Carlotta's work recently brought her back to Europe, where she is now established. Even though, she maintains a residence in Los Angeles due to her work ties and love for the City. She is constantly traveling between USA and Europe while performing in numerous productions in both English and Spanish.

Carlotta Montanari

Carlotta Sofia Montanari is an Italian-American actress born in Rimini, Italy. Raised in Riccione, a seaside city of northern Italy, she made her professional artistic debut at an early age acting and hosting for major national networks and appearing in commercials and films. As a child, she originally wanted to work with animals, possibly a veterinarian or professional horseback rider and trainer. She has carried her passion for animals and horses into her adulthood and it remains one of the biggest pleasures of her life. Due to the separation of her parents Carlotta, along with her brother, spent much of her childhood at her family's countryside home with her grandparents, where she was surrounded by animals and developed a deep connection and respect for animals and nature. Growing up she considered becoming a filmmaker, given her passion for the big screen, old movies and filming, but later she studied and graduated with a Master of Visual Arts at The Federico Fellini Institute. Thereafter, she studied journalism and communication sciences to broaden her skill base, but Carlotta was still searching for her calling until she was invited to join an intensive acting seminar based on the methods of Konstantin Stanislavski and Lee Strasberg. This form of creative expression was an immediate connection, and she felt that acting would be her lifetime companion and a healing playground. The desire to work professionally and measure herself further as an actor inspired her to move to Rome to train in theatre full time. In Rome, Carlotta worked also as a television host and writer. Driven by her aspiration to work with the masters of the acting craft, Carlotta left Rome for Los Angeles to further her career. Shortly after earning her first acting role, she was invited to the prestigious The Actors Studio moderated by Hollywood legends and mentors Martin Landau, Salome Jens, Mark Rydell and Lou Antonio. She also worked with teachers such as Penny Allen and Allan Miller. As a versatile actress, Carlotta has acted in several Hollywood feature films and TV shows. She also has appeared in television and print commercials, and her artistic work includes voice over and dubbing. Carlotta is a compassionate animal rights advocate and philanthropist, including helping the less fortunate in her community, WWF, leukemia and MS research, and associations against domestic abuse. She is an active volunteer and supporter of several dog and horse rescue organizations in Southern California.
