Edward Chiodo

Edward Chiodo is the co-chairman and head of production at Chiodo Bros. Productions, Inc. He is responsible for new business development, client relations, and the overall operations of the studio. He also serves as Executive Producer on all Chiodo Bros. projects. Edward has spent over three decades at the helm of this highly creative independent production company with expertise in live-action puppetry, stop-motion animation, make-up effects, special effects, and production management. After years of perfecting his craft in the world of effects artistry, the brothers Chiodo produced an original 30-minute television special, "Cousin Kevin," for KABC. This award-winning show gave them the opportunity to make the feature film, "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" which Edward produced and co-wrote with his brothers. Shortly afterward, he co-produced Sid and Marty Krofft's "Land of the Lost," and then later joined creative forces with Howie Mandel as executive producer and co-creator for CBS's crazy live-action television series "The Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys." Edward was the animator producer on the Annie Award winning and Oscar nominated, "Marcel the Shell With Shoes On," a stop-motion animation feature for the New York based, indie studio, Cinereach and distributor, A24. Recently, he produced "Alien Xmas", a stop-motion animation holiday special for Netflix with executive producer, Jon Favreau. The feature premiered on the network in November 2020 and continues to trend during the holiday season. Other projects include animation producer on "Emily at the Edge of Chaos," producing the independent feature films "Beyond Paranormal" and is attached to produce three other indie features, "Sunday Dinner," "La Reina" and "Mikki and Lola" which are currently in development. Other credits include producing three television pilots, "Team Smithereen" for Disney XD, "Earth versus Everything" for Wildbrain/DHX, and "Felt" for Relativity Real, the latter, which was picked up by Logo Network for an 8-episode run. Other credits include producer on Matteo Ribaudo's short film, "Ophelia," and his feature film, "Broome Street Boys," executive producer on Ghost Works', LLC, short film, "Night of the Little Dead," and producer on Sam K. Hale's short film, "Yamasong." Over the span of his career, Edward has been fortunate to work with virtually every major studio and television network. Edward's special effects magic can be seen in films such as Steve Carrel's "Dinner for Schmucks," Matt Stone and Trey Parker's "Team America: World Police," Jon Favreau's "Elf," Spike Lee's "Tales from the Hood," "Pee wee's Big Adventure," "Apt Pupil," "Darkman," "Robocop," "Sword and the Sorcerer," and "Critters 1, 2, 3 & 4." His television credits include effects director of photography on Frank Herbert's "Dune"(2000-2001 Primetime Emmy Award), executive producer on "The Crayon Box," "The Mr. Potato Head Show," "The Simpsons" (2000-2001 Primetime Emmy Award)," "Skwid Zone," "Shelly Duvall's Faerie Tale Theater," "Goosebumps," "Adventures in Wonderland"(Emmy Award-Winning Television Series), "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Generation," "The All-New Land of the Lost," "Crash the Curiousaurus"(Emmy Nomination), and "Thriller"/The Making of "Thriller"(Grammy Award Winner-Best Video).
