Jackson Che

Jackson Che is from Brooklyn, NY. He started performing at a young age, starring in most of his school plays from kindergarten on. It was through Dr. Joseph Mingrone, at Bishop Ford High School, that Che was first introduced to the method of acting. Beginning with elements of the Strasberg technique, Che became fascinated with Constantin Stanislavski during his college years. Though, acting was not Che's first love. That was music. After two years at Rider University, Che dropped out to go on a rap tour. It would be a decade before he looked back. While shooting a music video in 2007, he became friends with the gaffer, who was attending NYU Tisch Film School at the time. Che was asked to play a small role in a student film and that was enough to put the bug back in him. In less than two years, he had written, directed and/or starred in several short films and was navigating the festival circuit. In 2009, Che got a part in the indie film, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (2010) with Blue Lion Club Productions, which shot in Atlanta. Two years later, while he was back in Atlanta shooting another BLC Productions film, Probable Cause (2012), he was introduced to the producers of a dance themed reality show who hired him as a segment host & he moved down to Atlanta. Following his move, he made a quick cameo on an episode of Tyler Perry's House Of Payne (2012), worked with the rapper David Banner in the web series, Walking With Gods (2013), playing Banner's arch nemesis, The Grim Reaper aka Man In The White Mask. He followed that up with a supporting role in the indie feature First Impression (2014) alongside Lamman Rucker, Carl Anthony Payne II and Thomas Mikal Ford. Che has since received considerable acclaim for his gritty performance as Spencer in the indie drama Curveball (2015), starring Rockmond Dunbar, Lynn Whitfield and Jean-Luc McMurtry.
