María Albiñana

Maria Albiñana is a trilingual Spanish actress, creator, director and writer. She was born in Valencia, Spain. Recognized for playing strong, deep emotional characters and being a fresh and unique performer. She has a strong theater background experience and has developed her career into TV, film, as well as in stage. At a very young age she was already involved in performing and was very focused in classical ballet. She completed her MA Classical Ballet Degree and trained with the Joven Compañía de Alicia Alonso, among others. Soon after that she also completed her MA Acting Degree and Journalism Degree and continued training as an actress at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (London), Actors Studio (LA), Actors Gang (LA) etc. In 2021, she won Best Actress for "Cancelled" at the British Web Awards. In 2004 she won Best Actress in Comedy at LA Webfest with her lead role in the Spanish TV series "Sin Vida Propia", and has been nominated several times in different international film festivals for her show "Cancelled", "Recancelled", "Todos Queríamos Matar al Presidente" and "Sin Vida Propia". During the pandemic, Maria created, produced and acted in one of the world's first multi-national lockdown series, "Cancelled". The series produced in Australia, Spain and Argentina launched on Facebook Watch and has had over 3 million views. The companion series "Recancelled", is about to hit 6 million views. As well as writing and directing, she co-founded and directs the web series section at Valencia International Film Festival.
